Anii 1900, o perioadă boemă, lumea era liniştită, nu aveau trafic aglomerat, la televizor nu era politică sau manele, se scriau poezii, se trimiteau scrisori, lumea era mult mai linistita.

Dar totuşi, şi pe vremea aceea existau fotografi şi chiar unii foarte buni(comparabil şi cu cei contemporani). Nu pot spune că, deşi am ajuns în anul 2010 şi fotografiile de 60 de megapixeli sunt la îndemana oricui ne-am chinuit de pomană, dar în mare parte facem aceleaşi fotografii. Folosim aceleaşi poziţii, aceeaşi încadratură şi aceleaşi scheme de iluminare. Avem aceleaşi idei în fotografie care le-au avut şi oamenii de acum 100 şi ceva de ani. Avem culori de 32 de biţi, dar apelam de foarte multe ori la alb-negru şi sepia.

A photograph (taken in 1911) of Henrietta Louise Cromwell Brooks, a wealthy heiress and prominant Washington D.C. socialite, at the age of twenty-one. She was married and divorced four times. One of her husbands was actor Lionel Atwill. Another was the young General Douglas MacArthur (in 1922). They divorced 7 years later. She passed away in 1965 at the age of 75.
