Olympus a lansat oficial modelul E-LP1, o variantă simplificată şi mai mai ieftină pentru E-P2. Este o cameră foto cu lentile interschimbabile Micro-Four Thirds, dar fără oglindă interioară.
Ca şi E-P2, are acelaşi senzor 4/3 de 12,3 megapixeli, filmare în mod HD (720p) sau stabilizator de imagine integrat în corpul camerei. Practic este aproape aceeaşi cameră într-un corp mai mic.
Acest model include multe dintre funcţiile modelelor superioare(E-P1 şi E-P2), dar cel mai important lucru adăugat este blitz-ul integrat, care lispeşte la celelalte modele.
Alături de acest model au mai fost lansate şi noile obiective M. ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 9-18mm F4.0-5.6 şi M. ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-150mm F4.0-5.6.
