Canon lansează o nouă versiune pentru cunoscutul teleobiectiv 70-200mm. Modelul incorporează noul sistem de stabilizare a imaginii de la canon, lansat în iulie 2009. Este al doilea obiectiv ce incorporează această tehnologie, primul fiind 100mm f2,8L.

Obiectivul are un nou sistem de lentile ce promite să corecteze aberaţiile cromatice, iar distanţa minimă de focalizare este de 1,2m, faţă de 1,5 cât era la modelele anterioare cu f2,8.

Este izolat împotriva interperiilor(weather sealed lens) şi este compatibil cu toate camerele foto SLR de la Canon.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…..nu. Nu incorporeaza nicidecum sistemul de IS hibrid de pe 100f2.8L MACRO IS, ci doar un IS obisnuit, aproape identic cu cel de pe 70-200f4 IS.
