Canon a lansat astăzi noul model de entry-level, Canon 550D (Canon EOS 550D Rebel T2i). Este un model face parte din seria de camere foto DSLR entry-level a producătorului.

Acesta va fi dotat cu un senzor de 18megapixeli, un ecran LCD de 3inci cu o rezoluţie impresionantă de 1.40kPx şi sistemul de măsurare a luminii în 63 puncte ce a fost introdus prima oară la modelul 7D. Acest model va putea înregistra imagini video full HD (1080p).

Modelul 550D vine în continuarea seriei xxxD de la Canon, având în spate modelele 300D, 350D, 400D, 450D şi 500D care a fost lansat cu mai puţin de un an în urmă, acestea  fiind unele dintre cele mai răspândite camere foto entry-level.
